For John and Ken...

"Soft and Dry"
Performed by Old High School 'Thrash' band

This is a song from the first rock band I was ever in back in High School.
The quality isn't the best, but saved it from an old cassette before it got bad.

Don't be frightened off by the beginning, that was Ken's idea.
He never did say for sure that the soundbytes were made by actresses or not.

If you listen close, you might even hear a familar tune.
Ken had this really cool idea of taking a television advertisement and rocking it out,
remember that old commercial music for Soft and Dry?

Two of the guys that I played with in this band are gone, John and Ken.
It really means a lot to me now to be able to hear their voices on it. - Scott

Vocals - Ken Bemburger
Lead Guitar - Scott Holmes
Rhythm Guitar - James Shafner (who went on to play in Lincoln band, Medium.)
Bass Guitar - John Hudson
Drums - Chuck Sulfrank

This is just a short clip from one of our practice sessions.
We practiced in a basement, and there was all this drywall leaned against the wall behind our drummer, Chuck.
Well, guess we didn't really figure it a problem untill we cranked them to 11, and things started vibrating.
This clip captures John screaming woah! woah!
trying to get Chuck's attention to stop and catch all the dry wall
that has begun to fall on his head. Ah the memories!

This is another tune we were working on, it starts with a sort of bluesy sound. This was one of my favorites to work on.
