This is the site of Scott Holmes, artist. I love music, movies, sketching and painting, drawing computer graphics, photography, martial arts, philosophy, lyrical and poetic writings, and fantasy stories. I've wanted to cram all of my favorite things into one place for quite some time. Technology has finally provided me a way to share these things with all of you. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!
The Name "Big John Arts"
Those of you who may wonder why I decided on "Big
John Arts" as my site name, here's the scoop. I have
always had a great amount of respect for older
generations. You could say, I suppose, that it comes
from a healthy respect of the wisdom that these
people have. I try to soak in as much of
this worldly wisdom as I can.
I have picked up a lot
from my parents and grandparents, including
creativity and imagination, which I feel are very
important qualities to have.
So the name is my tribute to two great men that influenced my life and growth--my grandfathers, John Armstrong and "Big" Holmes. In the near future I will put a link here to more information about these two great men.
